Help for Haiti after 7.2 Earthquake - August 14th, 2021

"The beleaguered Caribbean nation of Haiti suffered a major catastrophic setback after a 7.2 magnitude earthquake, one more severe than the quake over 11 years ago, struck on the morning of August 14, 2021. Almost 1,300 people have been killed, hundreds have been injured, and hundreds more remain missing. The epicenter was eerily coincidental as it occurred within the same peninsula as the January 12, 2010 7.0 magnitude earthquake, which devastated the capital city of Port-au-Prince and surrounding areas, and contributed to the deaths of 200,000 people."  - Charity Navigator

Keeping in mind the impending threat of tropical depression Grace and the ongoing Pandemic, please be generous in your contributions to any of the worthwhile charities listed on the Charity Navigator website.  Check them out at https://www.charitynavigator.org to make an informed decision on how best to help the Haitian people overcome this disaster.

Of course home-cooked food is always welcome in times of need, and no one prepares and delivers that better than World Central Kitchen, which started its global food outreach support during the 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Over 10 years later they are more than ready and able to assist, so please also consider supporting their efforts.  Visit them at https://wck.org .
